Omg so I got a job, guys.

Super weird cause I was just walking down the beach on Sunset Shore and I saw this mom yelling at her kid who was swimming off too far when suddenly a big wave came and thrashed him all around. Well, the mom started to freak out cause the kid didn't surface right away, so I jumped in and went to get him. He only just swallowed a crapton of water, but I managed to grab him and pull him to shore all even before the lifeguard on duty noticed what was up. XD

Anyway, so the mom was super grateful and talked me up to the main lifeguard dudes and.... bam. I am officially employed. Meet Lifeguard Momo! They even gave me a hat with an otter on it. I mean like.... super cool, right? I never thought having a job would be this cool, but I guess if it's getting to work on my tan and going into the water a few times, it's not so bad right?

I'm gonna get trained on CPR and all that stuff too. Like.... what the hell I'm actually glad I'm older now. LOL

I am finally well enough to make proper introductions, though I must ask that you forgive any blunders which may occur as I compose this message. I am quite unaccustomed to apparatuses of this sort. I had a friend back home, Henry Branwell. He enjoyed tinkering with mechanisms on a regular basis. I'm quite sure he would be rather fascinated by this place.

My name is James Carstairs, but you may call me Jem. I am originally from Shanghai, but I have lived many a year in London. As I understand it, this is a place where people of extraordinary abilities reside. I myself am what is called a Shadowhunter, a Nephilim. Should you wish to know more about me, I would be happy to inform you. I am still unsure what sort of warlock magic or otherwise mundane invention has created the ability to meet and interact with others without seeing them face to face, but I am very pleased to make the acquaintance of all who read this at present.

I find there is nothing more serene than watching a cat rest. Seeing them curl up in a ball, paws over their face, as their tail swishes about, is peace at its finest.

It's always a shame when the sounds of spurs jingling disturb that peace.

A few of them have gotten use to the noise, but not all of them yet.
