Everything feels a bit somber lately, what with all those people having gone missing. My parents and family are among them, on that list.

I have to remind myself though, that even if my time with them here was short, that it’s more than I’d ever been allowed or gotten before, and I should feel grateful. Also, apparently people come and go? So there’s hope for the future.

Anyway. I guess I just want to be — I dunno? Positive about things.

You know what we need? Maybe a party.

Oof. I just slept for two days straight. I don't want to grow older any time soon. So happy to be 29 again. One year at a time, thank you very much.

My knee also says thank you. Figure skaters have more pains as we age, it seems.

Since I'm all new here and all that shit, I figured I should introduce myself. I'm Lorna Dane and yeah, I guess I'm a new resident with my daughter of Ravenmoore. I'm working as a trainer for self-defense and abilities/powers so if you need either of those things, hit me up.

Out of sake for my own peace of mind, is this place safe for little ones? Anything I should know or have a heads up about? No mutant hate groups going to coming knocking on my door that I'll need to kill.

Well, the party’s still on for Sunday, blizzard or not! But please, please, please, PLEASE don’t try and come if it gets too crazy out there! For anyone that’s able to make it, extra beds will be made up and we’ll be fully stocked on food and drinks!

Plus, if it’s really as bad as people are saying it’ll be, work and/or school will probably be closed the next couple days! It’ll be a SNOW PARTY!!

How does one decide what one wants to do for an occupation here?

I can't keep tormenting my wife by not letting her out of bed. My qualifications include mischief making, quidditch, technically being a war veteran (does it count as being one if I died?), and a questionable attachment to my friends

That was definitely one of the more, ah, interesting things I've had to go through. Good to see the neighborhood looking normal! I was getting worried for a second there Kaede might never be herself again.

Seeing that I missed something important while that whole thing was going on, any of you teenager types interested in earning a few extra bucks hanging out with an awesome kid for a few hours?

It's only been a week since the festival, but I find myself missing the kettle corn. It's been my favorite for a long time.

That vacation was truly wonderful, but it's nice to be back in Preya again. Next time, I would really rather being asked first.

I just arrived here. Will thinks I should go to school too, like him. What is school like? The Institute looks nice. What else is there to do in Preya? It's very different here.

Today will be my last trip to the coffee shop. I'm sticking with tea. The baristas greeted me by calling me the 'tired-woman cryptid' and anticipated my order.

...A caramel macchiato with 19 shots of espresso isn't that bad. Just one more day, then I'll sleep for the weekend.

It's worth it though! I haven't felt a rush like this in years! I mean, the last time I stayed up for days on end, I was covered in blood and reconstructing a man. This time, it'll mean a bigger discovery than my bio-nanotechnology!

There are some concerns considering time limits, but that's part of trial and error.
